This was my father’s recipe. Unfortunately, it’s been difficult to find chocolate buttercream frosting lately. I recommend chocolate, or fudge frosting, as a substitute.
A note on the name: I made this as a desert to take to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving. After tasting it, I asked him if he liked it. He looked me straight in the eye and said, “And they gave Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize.” I named it in his honor.
